Studies have shown that consumers will spend up to 15% more to do business with someone they trust. With simple, small steps you can eliminate apples to apples comparisons and make yourself the vendor of choice for your clients.

In today’s competitive sales environment and lackluster economy, it’s easy to get into price wars that cut into profit margins, if not eliminating margins altogether. If you’re a business owner or a sales professional, this lunch and learn will cover the techniques you can use to add value to the customer experience, eliminating the easy-to-fall-back-on crutch of being the lowest price in town.

Travis Powell is the Sales Manager for AlphaGraphics in Idaho Falls and Rexburg, overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for both locations. In an industry hit hard by the recession, online competition and an increasing reliance on digital communications, AlphaGraphics Idaho Falls has enjoyed consistent, yearly, double digit growth since opening in April of 2010, increasing its workforce 300% during that time.

Travis serves on the Board of Directors for Help Inc and the Idaho Falls Advertising Federation and was a recent winner of an Idaho Falls Chamber Distinguished Under 40 Award.

Sign-in for lunch begins at 11:30.
The presentation will run from Noon to 1 p.m.
Cost is $12 for Ad Fed members and $15 for non-members.  As usual, Dixie’s Diner provides a Special Menu with plenty of tasty options.

Sandy Anderson

The Executive Director of Buy Idaho, Sandy Anderson, is scheduled to address the Idaho Falls Ad Fed Club at our noon luncheon, Thursday, April 18th at Dixie’s Diner on Channing Way. Sign-in is at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will run from noon to 1 p.m. Cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. A wide selections of lunch items will be available. Please RSVP to lisa@mightymcs.com if you plan to attend.

Anderson will speak to the group about the functions of the Buy Idaho organization and the importance of doing business within the state. Anderson insists, “Everyone benefits because the more we learn about Idaho products and services the more we can support and Buy Idaho”.

For 26 years, Buy Idaho has worked diligently on behalf of our members to provide networking platforms and promote the Buy Idaho message. When we support Idaho businesses, it keeps dollars in the state. These dollars reinvest themselves in other Idaho businesses, services and our state farm commodities. It improves job opportunities and increases state tax revenues that support public services.

“Branding the Buy Idaho name is so important to building awareness for our association”, said Anderson, “Advertising agencies and the media have played a major role in helping us get the word out and promoting Buy Idaho to their local clients. I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to speak to these clubs and thank them for their support.”

A past president of the Boise Advertising Federation, Anderson now sits on the board for the Idaho Advertising Federation.

Buy Idaho is a non-profit, member based organization with over 1,100 members statewide.
