IDAHO FALLS ADVERTISING FEDERATION HOSTS YOUTUBE EXPERT AT LUNCH & LEARN EDUCATIONAL SERIES
Mikey Borup is an After Effects and Video Production professional, motion graphics artist and all around great guy – who also happens to have won an Emmy. You won’t want to miss his presentation at the next Idaho Falls Advertising Federation Lunch & Learn on February 19, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dixie’s Diner.
Mikey believes that it’s not just about creating a great video, but also about creating the right video. Mikey is an expert YouTuber, and has help build several Channels into the thousands of subscribers. His personal channel has nearly 70K subscribers and 3 million views. Mikey is also a founder of http://www.cinemaspice.net, a new site that has resources for video editors and after effects users.
In addition, Mikey runs the largest After Effects community on Google+ and has a successful YouTube channel dedicated to After Effects tutorials. Mikey is also a contributor to Tuts+ and PremiumBeat and Udemy.com.
The event is open to the public and is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
We are thrilled to have Christal Gammill, the current Governor of AAF District XI who has been involved with the AAF since her college days at University of Idaho when she was on a team in the National Student Addy Competition. She is going to tell us about how American Advertising Federation’s direction ties into the vision for our local chapter.
Christal is now at the top of her game as the managing director of Publicis in Boise, ID.
Christal’s Background: Over sixteen years of experience in advertising, brand development, direct marketing, sales promotion and event management for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer programs.
Highlights: Helped launch custom CMS system and managed monthly promotions for the Washington Lottery website. Developed integrated programs for Johnson & Johnson ranging from sales tools to tradeshow and event support materials to developing customer tools and resources. Launched HP loyalty demand gen program resulting in over 244 sales leads and an estimated $27 million in sales volume. Established client relationships that have lasted more than a decade.

Michael Watson, Marketing Director of Idaho Central Credit Union.
Michael Watson is the Marketing Manager of Idaho Central Credit Union, one of the fastest growing credit unions in the nation. He oversees the overall marketing responsibilities of the Credit Union including budgeting, development of marketing plans and campaigns, strategy, and managing an agency relationship.
Michael began his career with Idaho Central in 2000 and has been in his current position since 2004. He graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor’s Degree double major in marketing and business management.
